Tim felt like the only thing he really could do to stop him wanting booze was fry his brain other ways. He was learning that pushing away the urge to reach for a beer was a lot harder than it seemed. In fact, it was terrible. So, he had taken to working out whenever he wanted one, which was basically all the time. He started going for runs twice, sometimes three times a day, and when he wasn't doing that he was in the gym Jason had set up in the garage for himself when they moved in. Tim had been allowed to use it on the proviso he put everything back with Jason's disability aids when he was done. Straps around the weights, etc. etc. For obvious reasons, there had been no treadmill or exercise bike, so Tim "borrowed" Billy's, which Billy himself hadn't used in probably around six years.

He was on the bike now, going extremely close to the top speed. He sat back and poured his bottle of water over his head to try and cool down, but he didn't stop the pedalling. Jason wasn't around to coach him and tell him he was doing too much/too little, so it was up to Tim to set the standards and if the desperation he had for a beer was anything to go by, the standards weren't quite high enough yet.
